Edited by Professor Naoto Endo, Niigata University, and Tomoaki Yamamoto, Director of Niigata Institute of Bone Science.

This book is based on the 2nd edition of the Bone Morphometric Measurement Handbook edited by Dr. Eimei Takahashi, and has been renewed with the latest knowledge about bones. This book has been ambitiously edited to cover bone morphometric measurements. Osamu Nango and Shogo Kubota of our company contributed to writing about "3D bone morphology measurement using X-ray μCT images".
This content explains the 3D bone morphometric measurement items according to the "Guidelines" 1) issued by the American Society of Bone and Metabolism in July 2010.

Osaka University Dr. Inoue and Dr. Hamano's evaluation paper on drug treatment effects using clinical CT images has been published in JBMM. The effects of bisphosphonates treatment in patients with steroidal osteoporosis were analyzed over time by using conventional methods such as DEXA and MDCT 3D images, and by measuring bone strength by BMD, bone morphometry, and stress analysis, and the improvement of bone quality over time. We also participated in joint research.

This research was conducted by Professor Momose and Professor Yashiro of Tohoku University and Professor Matsuo of Keio University This is a joint research with the professors of SPring8.  For the purpose of clarifying mineral metabolism by bone cells is. Mineral metabolism is an important function that animals acquired when they landed , but the details are not clear.
